Why Some People Never Get Ahead

Do you ever wonder why some people succeed while others
never seem to get ahead?

Here are some case studies of REAL people and REAL 
situations...only their names have been changed:

=> CASE STUDY #1 <=

John wanted to join my team and learn how to sell 
high-ticket items...earning $1,000 for every sale. He was
a little nervous since he had tried several other things
and had never made any money...but he convinced me he was
ready to make a commit to building a business.

Unfortunately, John found every excuse in the book not to
make the necessary financial investment in his business...

-> Instead of following my directions to make his payment,
he opened a new PayPal account...which caused a 2-week
delay while the new account was getting verified.

-> Even though he was supposed to send the money before I
left town for a live event, he decided to wait till I
returned from the event to send the money.

-> Next, he couldn't figure out how to send the money using
PayPal. I offered to walk him through the process, and 
we scheduled a phone appointment. Of course, he wasn't
there when I called at our appointed time.

-> I reached him the day after he missed our scheduled
appointment. He confirmed he was still interested in
joining the team, and would call me later that day so I
could walk him through the payment process.

That was a week ago. I haven't heard from him since...and
really don't expect to ever again.

*** Summary ***

It's no surprise to me that John has never been successful
in any business venture he's tried. He is irresponsible and
lacks the ability to commit. He WANTS success (his anger 
when I suggested he wasn't ready to enter into business is
proof of that), but he doesn't have the self-discipline or
the confidence to turn his dreams into reality.

=> CASE STUDY #2 <=

Cathy was trying to build three M.L.M businesses at the 
same time. None of the programs was unique, all of them were
based on hype, and not one of the three had any real
potential (in my opinion) to stay in business very long.

I invited Cathy to join me at a live event...suggesting
it may help her gain some clarity about her business. 
I also coached Cathy on how leading with a high-ticket item
would be her best bet for making money quickly.

Within a week of returning from the live event, Cathy 
emailed me...trying to convince me to join one of her
original three fly-by-night M.L.M programs. She needed to
sign just one person into the program to qualify for a
bonus. Although she'd been working the program for 
several months, she hadn't yet signed up her first person
...and time was running out.

*** Summary ***

Cathy did more than most people by spending her time and
money to attend a live event...I commend her for that.
Unfortunately, attending an event is not enough. She needs
to be open to incorporating some of the new ideas she
learned at the event. To be successful in business, you 
need to be willing to CHANGE what you're doing if it 
doesn't work.

=> CASE STUDY #3 <=

Fred was layed off from work. His wife found a job, and
they agreed he would try working from home for six months.
The hope was that, within six months, he would be earning
some profit...enough to indicate that he could eventually
build his home business into something that would
ultimately support his family.

Although I worked closely with Fred, and provided him with
much coaching and guidance, he never followed through...
homework assignments were never completed, prospects were
never contacted, and advertising was never sent.

In fact, he never actually worked the hours he set aside
for his home business...there was always a distraction.

After six months, Fred had not made one penny, and had to
find a job again.

*** Summary ***

To be successful, all you need to do is perform the same
simple revenue-generating tasks over and over again.
Unfortunately, Fred didn't have the self-discipline to
make himself actually DO the work, so he never generated
any revenue.

=> CASE STUDY #4 <=

Mary wanted to work from home. She joined an M.L.M program
but, after just a couple of months, lost her enthusiasm
and stopped performing the tasks necessary to build her
business.

Several months later, Mary contacted me. She was ready
to try again BUT she wanted to do what I do...sell high
ticket items to generate fast profits.

After two weeks of studying and getting the foundation of
her business set up, she started working...focusing on
income-generating activities such as advertising, calling
prospects, etc.

Within her first five weeks in business, Mary had made
three sales...each of which generated $1,000 profit!

*** Summary ***

Mary realized nothing was going to change in her life
until she changed herself. She turned her attitude around,
made a REAL commitment to her home business and, as a
result, is now earning more money from home than she ever
did in a traditional job.

Which of these case studies most closely
describes you?

Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy. But, as you can
see from Case Study #4, it's NEVER too late to make a 
change.

The difference between the people who succeed and those who
never get ahead is this...

Successful people make a COMMITMENT to building their
business, they DISCIPLINE themselves to perform 
revenue-generating activities every day, and they 
FOLLOW-THROUGH with prospects and customers...always
willing to CHANGE their attitudes and actions when faced
with the fact that something isn't working as desired.

Eliminating Two Killer Presentation Problems

There are two questions your prospects will be 
asking themselves (silently) all throughout your 
business presentation: 

1. 'Will I be comfortable working this business?'

2. 'How much is it going to cost me?'

If your prospect is thinking about these two 
issues, he or she will not be listening to the 
wonderful benefits you have to offer. And not 
listening to your presentation will kill it.

So, what do you do?

Make sure you cover these two issues before 
giving your presentation. Better yet, answer 
these two questions right in the prospecting call. 
It could sound something like this:

'Ms. Prospect, if you are accepted into my 
program and become one of my business partners, 
while you're in training I will make prospecting 
calls with you and do the first three or four 
presentations for you. Would you like me to do 
that for you?

And, as with any new business, you have start up 
costs. With my company, that would be $..... 
If everything else is acceptable to you, does $.... 
fit within your budget?'

If your prospect doesn't balk, you can breathe a 
sigh of relief because from here on, you have 
your prospect's undivided attention.
