Dear Colleague,

Welcome to our new subscribers and Good Monday
everyone ! How are you doing today ?

I went through a bad week last week.

My PC crashed and I had it sent for service because I did
not want to lose all the information on its hard disk. This
happened on Tuesday, right after the day I sent out your
last newsletter.

Pretty lucky, huh !

Only on Saturday, I got the PC back. It turned out that the
problem was due to the software that I was running. I don't know
what that software was and the technician told me that it might
happen again.

I better be prepared next time. <sigh>

Because of the crash too, I couldn't finish my own assignment I
mentioned last week ~ that was to put up my photo and give a
little more introduction about myself.

I'm going to look into that again this week <smile>.

My friend, if you are one of the subscribers who emailed me
last week, my apologies to you for not being able to reply.
Send your email again so that I can read what you have written
last week. I'll reply this week (provided the PC does not give
me any problem again <smile>)

Until next time, have a great week !

Warm regards,

Zamri Nanyan

Big MLM Blunders: 5 Reasons People Don't Make Money
In Network Marketing!
by Christopher J. Sewell

It's a real shame! Too many people start an MLM business with
excitement, energy, and a gleam in their eye, only to have that
fire extinguished because they just can't seem to make any
money. There are thousands of people, maybe even you, who right
now are not as success as they would like to be.

If you learn the methods to doing this business correctly, you
can make all the money you want. Let me tell you five of the
top mistakes most people make that hold them back from
achieving success in their Network Marketing business. I won't
give any real details until later in this book. For now I just
want to get you thinking about a few common problems that may
be holding you back from success. All of these mistakes are
avoidable. So listen up.

Avoidable mistake #1: Sending sales packages to "cold lists."
First let me explain to you what a cold list is. It's a list
of names that have shown absolutely, positively, no interest
in your offer. They didn't request further information on your
opportunity and really don't care how great your company is in
the first place (despite how you feel!).

Mailing your opportunity to a cold list is the surest way to
drain your bank account. These people will most likely trash
your information without so much as a simple glance. The way
you avoid this mistake is to only mail to "warm leads." Warm
leads are leads who specifically ask for more information on
your opportunity.

Avoidable mistake #2: Not following-up with your prospects!
You've made no attempt to build a trusting relationship with
your new prospects. But yet you have the nerve to expect them
to risk their hard-earned money with you as their sponsor.
Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

Here's how you avoid this mistake. Ask your upline for the
series of follow-up letters they use to recruit people. Then
ask then for the phone script they've been using. You can
now create yourself a good follow-up system that will get
you a bunch of new downline partners.

Avoidable mistake #3: Mailing more than one offer to your
prospect.
There's nothing worse than opening an envelope and finding
four to six other little offers falling to the floor. How
amateurish! This really annoys your prospect. Your mailing
goes straight to the garbage. I know where you're getting
this technique from. Someone in mail order told you to stuff
your envelopes with as many related offers to maximize the
usage of your 33 cent stamp. Only put ONE offer in your
mailings!

Avoidable mistake #4: Refusing To Spend Money On Training.
Shame, shame on you! Network Marketing is a real business
like any other legitimate business. And in all legitimate
businesses I know of, you must learn how to work the
business the right way. Otherwise, you can't expect to make
any money. Without proper training you have no right
expecting to make money. Always spend money on training
material, books, course, tapes, etc.

Avoidable mistake #5: Being Damn Lazy.
One of the biggest problems I see with many would-be MLM'ers
is their laziness. All of us (and, yes, I must even include
myself) are lazier than we ought to be. We're humans, right?
We're brought up on the notion that "livin' is supposed to
be easy." Laziness is our human birthright. Which is why most
MLM'ers love to talk so much about working to make money, even
though many never really apply the concept.

Let's be honest: all people are just not created equal!
Despite what the industry "gurus" would have you believe,
not everyone is cut out to be in business for themselves.
I don't care what they tell you. Most people who enter the
home-based business field would rather watch television
than make a few follow-up phone calls.

Did you see your reflection in the mirror when you read
the 5 big mistakes people make above? I'm sure you did.
These mistakes are easy to avoid. When you become successful
at avoiding them, you should see your success improve.

3. ARTICLE - 7 Habits of Less Successful Salespeople
=====================================================

7 Habits of Less Successful Salespeople
by Maura Schreier-Fleming

What can you learn from others? Sometimes it's what to avoid
doing. These examples are mistakes that will cost you business.

1. Thinking you can do it all yourself.
Selling used to be a numbers game. In the past you could spend
your time smiling and dialing and that might have worked. Today
too many people are too busy to listen to a pitch. Cold calls
are a low probability and only worth your time if your time
isn't worth very much. The assistance sales people need from
others is good solid leads and referrals to meet new customers.

2. Talking too much.
Some salespeople think that the best salespeople are the best
talkers. That's not true. The best sellers are great listeners
and they use silence well. Silence is really golden in selling.
Use it when you want your customers to talk more. Silence is
appropriate when you are listening so you don't interrupt your
customer. It's appropriate to use when you think about what
your customer is saying. This will enable you to give him a
thoughtful response.

3. Doing the same things in all situations.
One of the predictors of success is flexibility or the ability
to do different things in different situations. Some salespeople
start their sales calls the same way and act the same way with
every type of customer. Customers are different and the
salesperson needs to respond to the type of customer he is
talking to. It is appropriate to get right down to business
in a sales call with an assertive, more emotionally controlled
customer. It is inappropriate to do the same with a customer
who is less assertive and more responsive.

4. Expecting things to happen now.
Patience is a virtue that salespeople especially need. Some
things do take time. If you want a piece of business badly
enough you may have to be persistent and try to make contact
over a period of months. Be patient and don't give up if the
account is worth it. Negotiating may take time and impatience
to close a deal can cost you money. Salespeople have to be
able to deal with ambiguity and the unknown. Your patience
is your power when it's combined with persistence.

5. Not telling the truth.
Salespeople need to be honest not only with customers, but
with themselves as well. Some salespeople fool themselves
that a sale is going to happen when the odds are it's not.
They tell their manager the sale will close soon because they
hope it will. If a customer is still thinking when they could
have said yes, it's time to move on to the next account. Be
honest with yourself. Let go and get going to the next prospect.

6. Not taking good care of customers.
Selling isn't asking a question to find objections and then
beating your customer into submission for each objection. If
it's not a reasonable fit, forget the sale. Find the prospects
that do need your benefits and value.

7. Thinking it's easy.
People think selling is easy only because the great salespeople
make it look easy. I recently spoke with a sales master who
sold upwards of $50 million worth of construction contract
surety bonds over the years. He said he never prepares for a
sales call. When I asked him what he meant he said that when
he makes a sales call he knows a few things about the prospect's
business and general requirements. Then he asks questions about
the areas he thinks might apply. I replied, "You may think you
don't prepare, but you're using 30 years of preparation to
sell." Selling is only easy when you don't know what you're
doing.

You can learn from your mistakes. It's even better to learn
from other people's mistakes. Avoid these mistakes and you
will make your selling more successful.
